VÅKENATT

Vandrer opp, vandrer opp mot Åsen
Her kan jeg se utover skog
Hvisker ømt, hvisker ømt mot vinden
hvor er du som Hjertet mitt kan fange
Kan du se meg her under Månen
Kan du se meg her jeg står

FORSAKEN

I can not see but Darkness and Death
I feel cold breeze enter the tune
Thy Voice once so soft, declearing Thy Love
Why hast Thou forsaken me

I enter the Castle we shared once again
Here in these halls our Love was to behold
now for only to remain in The Dream
Why hast Thou forsaken me

I feel this thing Woe
creep into my Heart
for there to remain forever as I fear

In the deepest of Nights
when my name is called out
I know I will come, I can no longer resist

RAPUNSEL

My Beloved I have waited so long.
How can it be daylight keep us apart
Make me assured it is you
and that noone sees us

Oh my Princess your eyes shine so bright
For your love I will give up my life
Make me...

Be aware of my father The King
If he sees us he will surely lock me in the Tower
Make me...

Come to me at night
Whistle our tune at the feet of the Tower
Make me...

Then shall i let out my hair
it will light up in the Night so you'll find your way
Make me...

He stayed with his Princess all through the Night
at down came the King
Make me...

Evil Tongues came from far
their minds filled with envy
The Princess with the golden hair
shall not see her Beloved again

The King sentenced the young Knight to Death
blind for his daughters prayers
Make me...

Rapunsel cried her tears in silence
alone as she was in the Tower
Make me...

When the 3rd day came to an end
She drove a dagger through her Ancient Heart
Make me...

THE SHADOWCHANT

Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows behold the view
I am but an Evil, I am but a man

Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows behold the view
Ember turn to Fire, Rock turn to Dust

Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows behold the view
Aware on the sacred Night, waiting for the Signs to appear

Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows
Cast away the Shadows behold the view
Mistress turn to Goddess, Blood turn to wine

DEAD

The Emptiness approaches
winding down The Path
knows the direction
it has been here before

I can feel it lay down to slumber
This time it will stay a while
Not even a straw of hope is spared
for me to cling to

I have searched
through Endless Nights
with the bare Moon
as my guiding light
to find someone
of my own kind

Am I doomed to walk my Path in solitude

My Blood freezes
red turns to black
this is Dead
this is me

In Earth
I find Quietness
which I so long hath seeked

IN HERE

Right here
in what remains of The Night.
My vision is finally clear
From my view up high
I see signs on the Surface
Feel The Tide closing in, closing in,
coming in, coming in here

I can feel the presence of the Past
of my Dreams and of my Hopes
this is my Home
i shall stay eternal here

I summon my sorrows
let me touch Thy absence
My thoughts
are finally gathered
feel the tide closing in, closing in,
coming in, coming in here

THE GATHERING

She rises her head into the Night
-They gather every fullmoon
She nods at her sisters the time is right
-They gather every fullmoon

Join in the ring
the fire will burn until morning

They assemble to reach the mountain top
-They gather every fullmoon
The exitement is kept in suspense
-They gather every fullmoon

Join in the ring
the fire will burn until morning

The air is chilling the skin is bare
-They gather every fullmoon
but dance is surely to heat the atmosphere
-They gather every fullmoon

Join in the ring
the fire will burn until morning

Fierceness is turning them willing
-They gather every fullmoon
Nature approves on the sacrifices made
-They gather every fullmoon

Join in the ring
the fire will burn until morning

THE HOMECOMING SONG

I can dance and I can sing
I can tell what the future will bring
Come wanderer with me
and we'll see what you are blessed to be

Hey there my love will you spare a thought for me
I'd climb the highest mountain to set my Spirit free
There they come and there they go noone's left for me

Kneel in front of fire place
let the warmth fill your veins
lay your weapons down
and I will heal your wounds

Hey there my love will you spare a thought for me
I'd climb the highest mountain to set my Spirit free
There they come and there they go noone's left for me

Lay you down to rest my friend
Be aware of the thoughts they send
I'll call on the wind and storm
to cover your pursuers path

Hey there my love will you spare a thought for me
I'd climb the highest mountain to set my Spirit free
There they come and there they go noone's left for me

Dear listener

I hope you enjoy listening to the song on this promotional CD. It consists of 9 songs that I have recorded since leaving "The 3rd and the Mortal". Although the recording is very basic, on my 4-track Portastudio, I hope it gives you a chance to hear my new direction. The inspiration comes very much from my love of the Norwegian Nature and traditional folk-music. I hope this shows through on the material.
